Fujitsu Calls It a Day for PC and Mobile Divisions

In light of the recent rumours that emerged on what the fates of the PC divisions would be for Fujitsu and Toshiba as there may be a possible merger with Vaio, Fujitsu has announced that it’ll be doing what Sony did years ago with its own PC division. Indeed, another schism is coming as Fujitsu plans to split off its PC and mobile devices divisions. Come 1 February 2016, the desktop and notebook PCs arm for Fujitsu Limited (Fujitsu) will be reestablished as Fujitsu Client Computing Limited (PC Split) while the entire mobilephone business will be moved over to the newly created Fujitsu Connected Technologies Limited (Mobile Split). Both, according to Fujitsu, are simplified incorporatuon-type company splits that it officially initiates and manages directly.
