Uber and Grabcar to be Legalised Soon

After the multiple rows that occurred among Malaysian cabbies who, through their own doing, cannot deal with industry disruptions like Uber and Grabcar, there seems to be an impasse now. That may soon change as the Malaysian Transport Ministry confirmed consideraitons to legalise these ride-sharing services are now being discussed. Following the recent survey that the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) conducted, a workshop is now being planned to study the viability of allowing ride-sharing operators to do their business legally and what conditions are needed to make it work. The result from that effort would see the formulation of a plan that, if done right, will put into place necessary measures that would allow Uber and Grabcar to operate properly.
