Latest: 600000 Malaysians in Singapore?

Singapore government welcome Malaysians as PRs as they can assimilate better with the locals compared to those from China and India. The Iskandar development in Johor augurs well with Singapore as these PRs can live in landed properties instead of the small HDB flats that are limited anyway. Also new HDB ruling is barring those PRs who own properties in Malaysia. So it is a win-wn for both parties, Singapore gets the brains while these Malaysians get the Singapore dollars to live lavishly (exchange rate 2.4x) in JB (although they have to live with some inconvenience in commuting to Singapore to work daily).
