The heroes from the videogame world that many have grown up with, come to know and love over the years like Mario, Link, Zelda, the Pokémon, and countless RPG protagonist that appeared on the Nintendo platform are mourning today. They grieve along with their fans for the passing of their proverbial father, Satoru Iwata, the current President and CEO of Nintendo Co. Ltd. and CEO of Nintendo of America. He was also the creative force behind the Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii. His passing, though sudden, was expected as he was recovering from a recent surgery for bile duct tumour.
