- Beef, cut into bite size. Don’t know how much I used as my sister gave me the good quality beef. You can follow the amount in the recipes I’d linked - 2 Chinese soup spoon worth of flour. All great kitchens have Chinese soup spoons - Plenty of salt and ground black pepper. You should never run out - 1/4 cup (60 ml) olive oil. Measuring cups cost RM5 each at Daiso - 2 onions, roughly chopped - 3 carrots, cut to chunky pieces - 7 garlic cloves, chopped - 2 medium sized Russet potatoes - 3 tablespoons tomato paste. Cheapest you can find! - 3 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce - 8 bay leaves, only ‘cos mine were old-ish - 1 tablespoon dried thyme - 4 cups (960 ml) beef stock. I bought a packet, used 2 cubes, have 8 left… - 1 cup (240ml) red wine - 2 bottles of Guinness, 325ml each. Total 650ml, woohoo!
