Germany Government Recommends Google Chrome as the Most Secure Browser Filed in: Downloads , Google , Security — February 6th, 2012 Google Chrome has been recommended by Germany’s Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) to Windows 7 users as the best browser. “BSI ticked off Chrome’s anti-exploit sandbox technology, which isolates the browser from the operating system and the rest of the computer; its silent update mechanism and Chrome’s habit of bundling Adobe Flash, as its reasons for the recommendation.” Unlike in the other countries, where Windows 7 automatically use Internet Explorer as the default browser, Germans are shown a default browser selections screen when they first run Windows.
