Hiya. My husband and I had steamed fish head at Ngan Woh Bercham for breakfast and then rice + dishes including 3-ways egg and stirred fried watercress for lunch at Wong Koh Kee Lrg Panglima while in Ipoh today. Both were extremely good. I especially loved how everything at Ngan Woh worked together – the classy and super-fresh head, the interesting addition of bitter gourd, the special green basil dipping sauce, the extra touch of chopped Japanese cucumbers on the side. The guy was also super-nice – I wanted to buy home some sauce and he refused to take any cash – just gave me plastic bags and said to help myself. Neither of these are on the usual ‘top of the pops in Ipoh’ foodie lists and we wouldn’t ever have stumbled on either without your terrific posts, so thanks a bunch !
