Mazda CX-5 CKD prices released – RM144k to RM160k

It is unfortunate for us to see the price of CKD models do not come down that much from CBU models. This is merely due to high cost of locally sourced parts. Surprisingly CBU models arrive cheaper compared to the market price of fully locally assembled models. Malaysians are forced to bear all the duties imposed by the Government for CBU and CKD models. Worse case the Malaysian authorities set their own scale of vehicle pricing so that we pay high duties, even though local distributors negotiate hard with the principal to bring down the vehicle price.
